Terms of Service
The contract for playing WORLD
Effective 1 September 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Digital Reality Studio (“we”, “us”, “the operator”), the operator of WORLD at https://world.digitalreality.studio. The English text is the binding language. By creating an account, signing in, or using WORLD you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Earnings Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use WORLD.
1. Who we are
Digital Reality Studio operates WORLD, a browser life-simulation game. Contact: world@digitalreality.studio. The public production site is https://world.digitalreality.studio. Staging or preview hosts (including grok.me URLs) are not a separate product; the same Terms apply.
We are not a bank, payment institution, crypto-asset service provider, investment firm, or gambling operator. We sell access to a game and, optionally, in-game currency. We do not custody your blockchain wallets and we do not offer withdrawal, exchange, or brokerage of crypto-assets.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old. WORLD is not directed at children.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter a contract in your country of residence.
- You must not be located in a jurisdiction where using WORLD or paying with crypto-assets is prohibited, and you must not be a person or entity subject to EU, UN, UK or US sanctions.
- One natural person may hold one citizen file. Multi-accounting to evade caps, bans or fees is a breach.
3. The product
WORLD is entertainment software: a persistent city sim in which you work shifts, hold property, run firms, and participate in a closed in-game economy. Crime, wanted stars and jail are fictional game mechanics. Nothing in WORLD is a real-world job, tenancy, loan from a licensed lender, or securities offering.
The server is authoritative. Anything your browser displays can be stale or wrong. Duplicate, delayed or client-side “wins” do not create a claim against the ledger.
4. Accounts
- You are responsible for the email, password and OAuth login you use, and for all activity on the account.
- Notify us at once if you believe the account is compromised. We may suspend it while we look.
- We may refuse, limit or reclaim handles that impersonate staff, other players, or brands.
- We do not have to keep WORLD online, keep a particular city, or preserve any particular save.
5. WORLD, the in-game currency
“WORLD” is a unit of account inside the game database. It is not legal tender, not electronic money, not a crypto-asset token on Bitcoin, Ethereum or Solana, and not a security, commodity or investment. It has no guaranteed cash value.
- WORLD is not withdrawable. There is no cash-out, redeem, convert-back, or payout to a live-network wallet.
- Balances, pay rates, taxes, rents, caps and fees can be changed, paused or reset as part of operating the game.
- WORLD obtained from jobs, quests, sponsors, crime, admin grants or play is a game reward, not a wage and not a profit share.
- We may correct obvious ledger errors, reverse credits that resulted from exploits, and confiscate WORLD obtained in breach of these Terms.
6. Cashier — one-way crypto purchases
The cashier lets you buy WORLD by sending native Bitcoin, Ethereum or Solana to published house wallets. That purchase is one-way. After the relevant chain confirms the exact ticket amount, we credit WORLD to your ledger. We never ask for, store, or hold your private keys.
House receive addresses currently published: Bitcoin 13qUmTmYubRCtWNY5cvj1BjxUsWVKiCJuF; Ethereum 0xe799f56adf716d8fa0487a49437df64c9895bfc7; Solana 2Sbwiy8dQYFc1Cg1ABCGToJvZDtD4BNkZCZUJ6bNvA3P. Send only the native coin on the correct mainnet. Tokens, the wrong network, a trimmed exchange withdrawal, or a different amount may be unrecoverable.
- Prices are quoted from public market feeds plus any operator fee shown on the ticket. Quotes can move until the ticket is opened; the ticket then locks an exact chain amount.
- Matching is by exact amount on a shared address. Dust digits identify the ticket. A wrong amount will not auto-credit.
- Tickets expire. Late payments within the published grace window may still credit; after that we have no obligation to credit.
- Blockchain payments are irreversible. Once you broadcast, you cannot unwind the chain transfer through us.
- Except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise, cashier purchases are non-refundable. WORLD is digital content supplied immediately. By opening a ticket and sending funds you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose any 14-day withdrawal right for that purchase.
- We may pause the cashier, change minimums, refuse a ticket, or require extra checks if we suspect fraud, sanctions risk, or abuse.
7. Jobs, sponsors and other play
Shifts, partner offers and night jobs are game loops with server-side timers and caps. Completing them is not employment, not a business opportunity, and not a way to earn legal tender. Partner tasks may involve third-party sites; those sites have their own terms. Any partner revenue is paid to us off-platform. You receive only a WORLD rebate inside the game.
8. Acceptable use
- No bots, scripts, automation, emulators or multi-boxing to grind, snipe or evade caps.
- No exploiting bugs. Report them. Using an exploit to mint, duplicate or drain WORLD is theft from the game economy.
- No harassment, hate, sexual content involving minors, scams, or impersonation in chat, bios or handles.
- No money-laundering, sanctions evasion, or using WORLD as a pretext to move value.
- No reverse engineering for cheating, attacking our infrastructure, or scraping beyond ordinary play.
9. User content
Handles, bios, chat and similar text remain yours, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, moderate and display them in WORLD. Do not post secrets, personal data of others, or unlawful material. We may remove content and issue warnings, mutes or bans without a debate on the wire.
10. Intellectual property
WORLD, the cities, art, UI, software and the WORLD mark are owned by us or our licensors. You get a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to play. You do not buy the code, the art, or a stake in the operator.
11. Third parties
Sign-in may use Google or other identity providers. Chain lookups use public explorers and RPC nodes. Sponsor links leave our site. Those services are not under our control. Your use of them is their contract, not ours.
12. Suspension and termination
We may warn, mute, suspend or ban an account for breach, fraud, legal risk, or to protect the economy. The founder account is reserved. You may stop using WORLD at any time. Unused WORLD, deeds and items have no cash value on exit. We may delete inactive accounts after reasonable notice where the law allows.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version date is 1 September 2026 (version 2026-09-01). Material changes will be posted on https://world.digitalreality.studio/legal/terms. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using WORLD.
14. Disclaimers
WORLD is provided “as is”. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free ledgers, particular income, or that crypto you send will be credited if you ignore ticket instructions. Crypto-asset values can fall to zero. Network fees, congestion and lost keys are your problem, not ours.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct. To the maximum extent permitted, we are not liable for lost profits, lost WORLD, lost crypto, indirect or consequential loss, or data loss. For paid cashier purchases, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the USD quote of the affected ticket in the thirty days before the claim. Mandatory EU/EEA consumer rights remain.
16. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the cashier, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Danish law, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts of Denmark have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer venues in your EU/EEA country of residence. You may also use the European Commission’s ODR platform; we are not obliged to use a particular ADR body unless the law requires it.
18. Contact
Questions about these Terms: world@digitalreality.studio. Please put “WORLD legal” in the subject line.
